Linen likes a cool, humid climate. Cold resistant, afraid of high temperatures. It is cultivated all over China, including Northeast China, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Shandong, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan. However, it is more common in the north and southwest; sometimes it is wild.
